Awareness and Fun Day at Sealston Complex in King George
August 8, 2013
Head over to Sealston Sports Complex in King George for a free, family-friendly Awareness and Fun Day for wounded warriors and active duty military on August 10 from noon – 4:00 p.m. The day will include music, speakers, entertainment, resource materials, games for the kids, raffles and door prizes. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the day.
A number of local organizations are teaming up to sponsor the event:
- American Legion Post 8, Unit 89
- Paralyzed Veterans of America Mid-Atlantic Chapter
- King George County Parks and Recreation
- King George Chapter 1616, and the UDC Virginia’s Deer Hunters Association
- Northern Neck Chapter
Volunteers are needed to help with this event, so if you’d like to get involved contact Janice Jones at 703-887-2878. If you haven’t been to Sealston Sports Complex yet, you’re missing out on a gem. It’s a 45 acre park adjoining Sealston Elementary School that currently consists of a 10 acre multipurpose field and four baseball/softball fields.
We hope to see you there!
