Dahlgren Families Welcome at the James Monroe Museum’s Holiday Celebration, December 7

Fredericksburg's James Monroe Museum & Memorial Library will open free to the public on Saturday, December 7, from 4-6 p.m. Warm up with hot cider, punch, and cookies before the Fredericksburg holiday parade and learn how the holidays were celebrated in Monroe's time.

A son of Westmoreland County, James Monroe was Governor of Virginia, US Ambassador to France and the fifth President of the United States, credited with significant expansion of American territory and beginning America's rise as a world power. The Museum is the country's largest collection of documents and artifacts relating to his work.

It's located at 908 Charles Street, Fredericksburg. See some history, meet new friends, and enjoy the holidays!
